With the Pioneer DJ DM-40D active monitor pair, you get speakers that are designed for both studio use and DJ sets alike.
The secret is the built-in DSP, which not only offers an extremely clear sound reproduction with a 96-kHz sampling frequency, but also adapts the frequencies to the specific application. A switch is built into the rear panel that allows you to quickly and easily switch between DJ or studio.
A Class-D amplifier is built in, delivering a real power of 19 watts per monitor, making it ideal for small to medium-sized studios or DJ setups.
Pioneer relies on an MDF enclosure with a bass-reflex design and grooved air ducts. Clever design tweaks make these speakers sound much larger than first impressions might suggest. The delay correction between the 4 inch woofer and the 3/4 inch tweeter ensures a pleasant sound image, while the DECO diffussors make the sound stage more three-dimensional.
